Sheltowee Extreme

Follow in the footsteps of Kentucky’s favorite frontiersman as you blaze your way through the rugged and remote wilderness of the Daniel Boone National Forest, Big South Fork River & Recreation Area, and Cumberland Falls State Resort Park.  Soloists and teams of 2, 3 or 4 will mountain bike, trek, paddle, rappel, climb, navigate, scramble, and claw their way along dramatic clifflines dotted with arches, scenic waterways flowing through wooded hollows and historic trails that wind their way through eastern and southcentral Kentucky.

This is no ordinary adventure race.  It’s a journey.  Don’t forget your compass.

Nationals Regional Qualifiers

The Sheltowee Extreme II and SXT South 24-hour are regional qualifiers for the 2010 USARA National Championships.  The top four teams from the combined 3 and 4-person co-ed divisions will qualify for the championship race held in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania.  The winning team will receive a $500 sponsorship to Nationals*, courtesy of the race and sponsor Zanfel, and also the coveted "Regional Champion" jackets.

Additionally, registered teams can earn points at this race toward their national ranking.  The top-ranked team receives a FREE entry into the Nationals race.  Go to www.usara.com to register your team today!
